Office of Collecting & Design

The Office of Collecting & Design is a traveling museum: part wonderland, part library, and part nostalgia machine, devoted to the diminutive, the misplaced, the unusual, and the forgotten. The space is an elaborate loveletterof leftover fragments from our collectivememories —meticulously organized and displayed for maximum satisfaction and delight.  Immerse yourself in our traveling 42' trailer where you can open every drawer, explore every box, and discover to your heart’s content. Visitors are able to participate in our Flatlay Session, our Scavenger Hunt, or just come in to enjoy the space at their own pace. The museum typically visits only one (occasionally two) cities per state and remains open for approximately five days in each location. In most cases, cities are visited only once before the tour continues onward. When the museum is scheduled to appear in a particular region, it is a brief and special opportunity. Many visitors choose to travel from neighboring cities or states to attend, often making a full day (or even a weekend) of their visit. Guests are encouraged to plan ahead and take part in the full experience, including workshops, events, and collaborations with local partners.
